On the 17th July 2002 Dame Elisabeth Murdoch launched the Chamber Music Australia Patrons’ Circle, a group of dedicated donors who each year commit financial support to ensure the growth and development of chamber music and chamber musicians in Australia.
“Chamber music is very dear to my heart and I continue to be enthused and inspired by the talented young artists and ensembles who flourish through Chamber Music Australia’s work.

Welcome to the
Chamber Music Australia Patrons’ Circle
The Chamber Music Australia Patrons’ Circle is a small group of dedicated donors who commit an annual financial donation of their choice, to ensure the development and growth of chamber music and chamber musicians in Australia.
The Patrons’ Circle ensures the expansion and continuity of the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition as well as the Asia-Pacific Chamber Music Competition, both of which act as a catalyst for developing and nurturing the musical careers of talented young Australians.
